Ministry at Holy Family Parish
Hi, I am Mary Ann Bilas Bush, MM, AAGO, Pastoral Musician at Holy Family Parish in Poland. I would like to invite you join the music ministry at Holy Family! There are several ways to do this, depending on your interest.
The Holy Family Choir sings at the 9:00 AM Mass every Sunday from the week after Labor Day to the first week in June. Rehearsals are at 8:30 AM, before Mass, and from 10-10:50, after the 9:00 AM Mass. The HFC also sings at Triduum Services and on Christmas. We have a choir robe for you! Ages 14 and up are welcome to join us.
The Holy Family Contemporary Music Ensemble sings and plays at the 11:00 AM Mass on the first Sunday of every month from October through June. Rehearsals are at 10:30 AM prior to the 11:00 AM Mass. Instrumentalists who can sight read contemporary music are welcome. Singers will learn their parts before Mass. Persons in the Holy Family Youth Choir, and those aged 14 and up are welcome to join the HF CME.
The Holy Family Youth Choir sings at the 11:00 AM Mass on the second Sunday of each month from October through June. Rehearsals are on Tuesdays from 2:30-3:30 PM in the church and on Wednesdays from 3:50-4:30 in the church. Students from the local school districts as well as those from Holy Family School in grades 3 through 8 are invited to join this group.
The Holy Family Resurrection Choir provides music for funerals scheduled at our church. Resurrection Choir members are notified by phone concerning funerals, which are normally held during the day. The Resurrection Choir meets one half hour before the funeral Mass.
Opportunities for talented musicians - of all ages - to perform solos that will enhance our liturgy are also available at Holy Family.
