Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Christ Renews His Parish or CRHP (pronounced "Chirp") is a spiritual renewal experience, which brings adult parishioners together in small groups in order to deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ and each other. Since it’s beginning in 1969 in ParmaCity, Ohio, Christ Renews His Parish has proven to be an effective instrument for spiritual growth in hundreds of parishes across the country.

WHAT HAPPENS ON A CRHP WEEKEND?
The weekend is an opportunity to hear and discuss how men and women function in our modern, complex, fast-paced society.  The renewal weekend provides an opportunity for individual growth through prayer and personal reflection.  You will be sharing conversation and thoughts (as much or as little as each individual desires) with others in the parish who are as caught up as you are in the many demands of everyday life presented by families, society, and jobs.  The weekend may be an opportunity for you to respond to a closer and deeper relationship with Christ.

WHEN AND WHERE DO THESE WEEKENDS TAKE PLACE?
Holy Family Parish currently hosts two weekends a year - one for men and one for women. Please see the EVENTS page for current Renewal weekend dates.

They take place right here at the parish.

WHO CONDUCTS THE WEEKEND?
The renewal team is comprised of a Spiritual Director and Lay Director and other parishioners who have attended the previous weekend.

HOW LONG IS THE WEEKEND?
The weekend begins at 8:00 A.M. Saturday and concludes by 4:00 P.M. on Sunday.
